Toilet tank valve seems to run
The fill valve inside the toilet tank seems to make a lot of noise running all the time. Is there a fix without replacing the device?

    Thanks

You have a washer that needs to be re-seated. Turn the water off to the toilet tank and pull the lid. Unscrew the three screws on top and pull up. Reverse the washer and reseat it back in firmly. Now, place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out the supply. Reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom

Good morning... I have an older toilet... the filler valve has four screws on the top. May I assume that is what I should be looking at?? I am a total amateur.

    Cheers
