My dachshound is acting very strange he threw up earlier today he has been very nervious pacing back and fourth for the last couple of days, then tonight he started bobbing his head up and down and back and fourth he also doesn't respond to us when we call his name. He is 14 years old and I have never had a problem like this before he has been a very healthy dog... Not sure if I should be alarmed or if it is nothing at all and need advice

    Thank you very much

Sounds like he should go to the vet.

Older dogs can start going downhill very quickly. It could be that he's having an ear issue, that would explain the head bobbing. It could also be that he had a stroke, or has gone deaf. There are just too many possibilities.

It could be something easily fixed. I'd make an appointment with the vet.

    Good luck.
