    Rheem safety switch too sensitive
I have a Rheem furnace. The furnace won't ignite sometimes, when I press on the lower door panel and wiggle, the safety switch will depress again and the furnace will fire up. Does the safety switch need to be replaced? It seems to be working a little TOO well. I am tired of waking up with it 62 degrees in my house, and so are my kids.

Sounds like the switch might be to sensitive. You may try a few pieces of tape on the metal panel which will thicken the area and cause the activator lever on the switch to push in farther for a better contact OR replace the switch.
