How do I get two kitchen faucet parts apart?
After replacing my Moen kitchen tap cartridge I reassembled I it, only to discover that I had the cartridge in backwards. So I disassembled it again and turned the cartridge 180 degrees. Alls good until I realize that the white plastic collar is now stuck inside the outer silver collar. I've tried everything I can think of to separate the two. Any suggestions?

    Hi Stucknowater

Unfortunately, the only trick I know involves purchasing a 1/2" N.P.T (national pipe thread) TAP (about $12.00). Here, you purchase the 1/2" tap and a 6" black iron nipple. You cut threads into the metal casing (just turn the tap in the metal casing) and then you spin the nipple into the threads you cut and you PULL the metal casing out using the nipple. This is the only way I know that will guarantee that the metal casing comes out...;)

Home depot, Lowes or Menards has all necessary parts!

    Questions? Let me know, OK?
