I need the wiring diagram to hook up our Sears ceiling fan model # CD 5201. There are four wires: black, white, green, and blue. The blue says "lightkit". The fan has manual pull strings for fan and light separately and we only have one wall switch.

Diagram with the fan should tell you. White to white, Blue and black to black, green to bare. Pull chains control light and speed.

With your set up the wall switch will need to be ON to use the pull chian. ma0641 explanation is spot on.
