I have a 6 layered roof of friends house I'm doing, it's a small crumbled patch. It was caused first by small leak unfixed that then this summer infested with ants. I stripped down the shingles, nailed a patch board, built it up the best I could, and tarred the valley. The question in all that is I have bumps? How do I take care of that?

Can you explain bumps? If it is in the roofing tar smooth with trowel. If in the shingles you put down they where not laying flat when installed. If other let us know so we can help.

SIX layers? Code in many places doesn't even allow three because of the extreme weight it puts on the structure.
