    Medical prescription effects
Being treated for a bad sinus infection. Doctor gave me a shot of prednisone and I just started today the prescriptions of prednisone 20 mg 1 time a day and bactrim ds once a day. I made sure I ate before I took prednisone and took the bactrim ds several hours later with plenty of water as suggested. I am having severe stomach cramps. I thought I was having a heart attack and then it moved to my lower stomach. Is this a problem or will my body adjust?

It could be a reaction to the medication. I don't know if that is normal or not. Maybe go to see your doctor or your pharmacist/chemist about this.

The thing to do is report any symptoms or side effects to your doctor and let him decide whether this is a normal reaction or one that he has to address immediately. That will take the guess work out of it, and reassure you hopefully.
