My employer and the hospital breached my hippa privacey
My Employer contacted my surgons office and obtained a release to return to work full dutie with out me seeing the doctor. The hospital employee gave a letter to my co worker in an unsealed envelope and she gave it to me the next morning when I was told to retern to work. All of this was done with no one checking my consent or me signing a release. Do I have any rights

BTW it's HIPAA. Sounds like Workers Comp?

First, if the only information released was an authorization to return to work, that might not have been a violation. Especially if this was a workman's comp case.

    Second, what the letter say?

A letter to return to work is not a release of medical information.

Also if you look at the application you signed you will see that normally you have given them permission to this.
