Hi I'm 14 years old and my period started Monday (not my first period). I tried to use a Tampon and I never used one before... So I took it out because I didn't know if I put it in right... After that day every time I wipe.. well you know down there.. It burns... and sometimes when I sit or lay down or walk it burns a little too... I'm scared is this a sign of TSS? :(

No, that is not a symptom of toxic shock. You may have just irritated the area when using the tampon. The tissues in the area are pretty delicate and even a small abrasion can make it sore for awhile. Do you feel any burning or pain when you urinate as well?

If the pain continues after a few more days, let a parent know about it.
