    Under weight daughter
Hi. My daughter is 19 months old n weight only 9.5 n height is 30 to 32 inches. Doctors say as long she is active she is fine. Ok. My daughter birth weight is 2.6 full term. She is active n hyper. She didn't gain any weight from 3 months. What should I do? She is underweight.

If your doctor isn't concerned then there is noting to worry about.

Is she eating well for her age? When you say her weight is 9.5, what is the unit?

She eats just fine, according to me unsatisfactory eating and she drink 2 ounce milk in 6 hours. (Total around 8 ounce in 24 hours.) Her weight is 9.5 kg. Doctors says because she is active whatever she eats and drink absorb by the body. My tension is this she is underweight and looks tiny too. I asked doc to give her medicine so she could feel hungry and eat so they give vitamin syrup. But believe me nothing happening. She still the same eating less.

What are you feeding her besides milk? Vegetables, meat, fruit, bread...? What type of milk? Cow, goat, soy, other?

At this point she'll only eat what she wants to eat and there really isn't much you can do about it. You can offer her a lot of food, but it could also be that she's just going to be on the thinner smaller side. Trying to over feed her isn't going to help things I don't think. Maybe switch up a variety of foods. Maybe she's bored with or has a distaste of what you're feeding her now.

What has me conflicted that your doctor isn't raising any warning flags.

One of the things that concerns me is that she is only drinking 8 ounces of milk in a 24-hour period. At 19 months of age she is probably mobile and has little time to sit down to a proper meal. At this time you should introduce finger foods that she can grab and go.

21 pounds is on the smaller side, but she may just be petite.

    I'm sorry, I don't know what S.26 series is.
