Today I was out with some friends and a buddy of mine didn't have a bottle opener so I hit it against the table and got the lid off…while in the process I had a sharp pain in my hand and now its swollen and bruised and hurts to even move it. Could something like that break it or did I just severely bruise it?

And you haven't been to the ER why exactly? If it is broke its not going to fix itself. And they don't sell home x-ray kits at the drug store...if you see the point I'm getting at.

There are 27 bones in your hand and wrist. Get an x-ray!
