Chipped Sink at bottom of drain. Changed faucet and can't get a tight seal.
Changed a faucet and the bottom of the sink where drain washer rests is uneven/chipped. Tried but cannot get a seal with out a leak. Does the sink have to be replaced? Used Putty on top of drain, problem is under neath.

I'm curious. Why does changing a faucet get the drain chipped? What drain washer? Does the washer install under the lip of the drain? What type of sink is this? Can you furnish more information? Back to you, Tom

    Hi Mfaz

There are probably a couple options here....epoxy putty comes to mind first. It is possible that if you clean the area well and build up an area with epoxy putty, let it dry and then try installing the pop-up assembly again you may be OK here!

Silicone sealant or JB weld comes to mind next...what's your pleasure...;)
