    Blue warrant
If you have a blue warrant will it help if you check into a halfway house? Will that defer revocation since parolee is seeking help? This is in Texas.

    Blue warrants
I need to know if you have a blue warrant will turning yourself in to a halfway house be considered as seeking help for yourself and defer the blue warrant?

Please provide more information. This is a global website and not all locations have something called a "blue warrant."

A blue warrant is a warrant issued for the arrest of a parolee who has violated terms of probation. Obviously if you failed a drug test, the right thing to do is seek treatment. It will look better to the court than doing nothing. But they want to see real rehabilitation, not someone pretending to give a damn.

Whether they put you back in jail is hard to say. We don't know your record.

It will not hurt, but it may not effect the warrant or the court at all. In fact the halfway house may just turn you over to police or probation for the warrant.

The number of past violations, number of past crimes all effect

They can execute a warrant any time, any place. Being in a halfway house may work in your favor, after the warrant has been satisfied. Depends on many other factors, but hiding in a halfway house, or anywhere else doesn't make the warrant just go away.
