    Birth control
To avoid my period on tri ortho cyclen during the week it's suppose to happen would it be more effective to take the third week of active pills from two packs one after another then take the placebo pills or skip the third week of active pills and take the placebo pills during that week then start a new pack?

By the way... I've already tried in the past skipping the placebo pills and just moving to a new pack but I ended up having break through bleeding for about 3 weeks

It is most effective to take them as planned and have the period when it is due.
None of them work as you want every time, since your body is on a internal clock and you are trying to change it. So either can work, but often either does not work.

If you wish to skip periods it's best to talk to your doctor about a birth control method that offers that option, other than taking your current pills in a form that's not prescribed.
