I have no signs of being pregnant other than I'm 2 months late. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and they have all come out negative. My periods tend to be irregular but I'm not on birth control and I recently had sex for the first time in years and without protection. Could I still be pregnant?

Sure you could, schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN for a blood test. You may be one of the women that test negative on a urine test well into her pregnancy.

It's possible, but with 3 pregnancy tests showing negative, it is unlikely. How recent was the last test? Since you have irregular cycles, going by a missed period won't be as much help to indicate a possible pregnancy. You will have to watch for other possible signs of early pregnancy... or take random pregnancy tests... perhaps one every month if you continue to have unprotected sex.

You could see about having a blood test done so that you will know for certain. You may then want to discuss the irregular cycles with your doctor. Sometimes they can be regulated.

I have more than a few friends that didn't test positive until well into their second trimester. There are more than a few people on this site as well that had the same thing happen. Not all women test positive early on in their pregnancy.

In other words, yes, pregnancy is possible.
