I have a lawn sprinkler system with pump and pressure tank above ground.the pump keeps going on and off on two zones and also on the outside faucets.is this a pressure tank problem thank you.Bill

Depends. If the pump only short cycles when water is being used, then the tank is the place to look. There is probably an air valve at the top of the tank. Press it for a few seconds. If water comes out, then the diaphragm is shot and the tank should be replaced.

However, if the pump is coming on even when no water is being used, then it is likely you have either a leaking footvalve or leaking wellpipe.
