    Dosage of fluconazole
Dr prescribed me with Fluconazole 200mg for my vaginal candidiasis which didn't go away after antifungal treatment one week before. I am confused now, because the pack has 7 tablets, and on prescription it says 1*1, so I assumed its just one tablet I needed to take, for once, but pharmacist says MAYBE for 7 days, but she is not sure either.

So, what is the normal dosage and length for taking this medication for vaginal yeast infection, because many sources says for vaginal yeast infection take it as a single dose, what dose it mean ?

I see that to mean one tablet per day... every day for 7 days.

My DR never mentioned length for taking the medication, and I was in hurry so forgot to ask, and when I googled it, it says for vaginal candidiasis, take it as a single dose...

Odd they would prescible a 7 pill pack then... every type of medication either I or my wife has taken that comes in packs all of them were to be taken during a course of treatment.

Did you call the Doctor that prescribed them and ask what they intended?

Are they at a medical practice that has more than one doctor? They would have made notations in your patient file that perhaps another doctor could read?

    Just an idea?

Sadly that is the only gynecologist available at that practice, but he will be back next weekend. Could just not wait that long... sigh:(

And nurse practitioners? THey can do most of what doctors do including understand everything in your medical files. Or did the practice completely close down until they get back?

Looking at options most people don't think of.
