    Programmable thermostats
We would like to replace our old manual thermostat with a digital programmable one and can't seem to find the right one for our system We have oil heat ( hot water base boards). Our air conditioning unit is on a separate thermostat. I disconnected the thermostat and noticed that there are only two wires, a black and a white wire. Can you tell me a specific model thermostat that I can use?

You will have to buy a battery operated one and just use the heat part.

I agree 100%. ( T-stat for gas or electric heat - not a heatpump stat.)
