    Guardianship
My husband and I want to get legal guardianship of our grandson. His mother and Him have been living in our house his whole life (he's 4). His mother is in a downward spiral and continues to make bad choices. Her drinking has become more frequent and causing problems with her job. We want to ensure our grandson is cared for. His father has disappeared from the picture, but he doesn't have a job. We live in Southern Calif and don't know where to begin.

Will the mother agree to sign over guardianship to you?

If there legal custody paperwork between mother and father of child ?

But start by talking to daughter, see if she will sign guardianship over to you.
Hire attorney and draw up papers, get everyone to sign
