I had not ridden my 1200 XL for a while (2 months), but left a battery maintainer on it. I went to start it and it turned-over, and the fuel pump came on, but it seemed a bit noisy. Then, brfore it started everything shut down. I turned the key to the off position, then turned it back to on. It only lighted the indicator in the speedometer at the accessory position, but everything went off as I moved the key to the on position.

I checked all the fuzes in the bike, both visually and with a multi-meter. None were "blown". I saw this same problem on another website, but there was no answer given.

What can I do to determine what is wrong with the bike, and get it running?
