    Possibly "Body Heat" with Kathleen Turner and William Hurt. Or "Palmetto" with Woody Harelson and Elizabeth Shue?

    Both of these movies have similar plots, the first involves the murder of the wealthy husband, the second, more intricate plot involves the death of the "supposed" wealthy husband's daughter after an elaborate kidnapping sceme. In both, the hired detective falls for the femme fatale and is ultimately implicated in the crimes.
