I just got out of the hospital yesterday. I had an IV in the crease of my left arm, it started to get hot and swollen just above the site, so they took it out. It has been 2 days since it has been out it is now very sore, hard to touch, hot, and sending pain down my arm to my finger tips. I am having a hard time holding or lifting any thing. What can I do?

Ice packs. Sounds like your IV site was infiltrated. Very common and nothing to worry about.
