Raccoons - what annoys them enough to leave
Well , I got a problem to deal with now, sort of ASAP... raccoons ripped through the screen on the eves of my attached garage and got up in the ceiling apparently Yes its sheet-rocked on the inside. Heard a racket, neighbor called a saw a raccoon on my deck... (deck is on the garage roof) heard a racket that sounded almost like it was in the house.. couldn't quite pinpoint it but went out with a flashlight and found where the screen was ripped out and some insulation pulled out.
I can't get any hardware cloth up until tomorrow, too dark tonight... but I don't want to have to deal with ripping out sheet-rock to remove a decaying animal in a week. Or have them find the one possible way to get into the main part of my house and tear it up. Shooting it isn't an option, inside town limits besides I'd have to see it first.
What's the best way to encourage them to leave first. Babies or not... its gone or its dead... I want the least inconvenience for myself. I have more wildlife than I want or need on my property already.
