I had 3 Mid-Easterners stop by and want to coat my Driveway. They had a pickup truck with a pump and tank along with crushed asphalt. They were going to put the particles of asphalt in all the cracks and then coat the whole drive with a coating. It would have had a 72 month guarantee. The price started at 48.00 a gallon and then it was down to 30.00 a gallon. Did not take them up on their offer. Question does this appear to be gypsy scam and does anyone know of what I can put down that will do a good job and last??

THis is a well known scam... they use sand and used motir oil. Not what you think you are getting.

I'd go to a Home Depot or a Lowe's, talk with someone in the Lumber dept... they can explain it all better... if you have cracks what you do exactly depends on the size of the cracks... small narrow cracks needing a product that's in calking tubes... with the asphault coating comes in 5 gallon buckets... that you squeegy down.

I trust nobody that knocks on my door trying to sell me something... far too many scammers out there that talk smooth, might even manage to look official... but are gone like the wind once they get your money... never to be found again.
