    Can I substitute a 12 volt 10 watt plug in bulb for a 6 volt 15 watt
Have a fiber optic easter egg tree that has a 6v15w plug in bulb. Only replacement I find in stores is 12v10w. Can I substitute?

It won't burn out immediately but its not going to work very well either. Meaning its going to be quite dim.

Have you tried a place like Radio SHack?
