B&S, 5hp,130292- cannot start w/o starter fluid in carb?
No primer bulb...

Remove carb... disassemble.. clean everything thoroughly with a carb cleaner product to remove the gum and varnish buildup... reassemble and I bet it runs.


Never leave fuel in a tank over exented periods like over the winter. You will ALWAYS have these problems maybe not after the first season (but sometimes that's enough)... but after 2 or more you certainly will.

On that model it is most probably the diaphragm. It resides behind the rectangula cover on the side of the carb nearest the muffler and held on by four screws. Far less common is a clogged pickup tube, and even rarer is a pickup tube that fell out and is in the bottom of the fuel tank.
