Hi, we are putting in a downstairs bathroom and I would like a shower over the bath- I don't have a combi, the hot tank is in the airing cupboard in the upstairs bathroom.

If I have a shower mixer tap on the bath, will I get a reasonable shower? Or is it worth paying extra and getting an electric feed in.

What material are the pipes in your home? What is the house PSI? Is the shower valve already installed? If so did you flush the supply lines before installing? Back to you, Tom

Hello Tom- no idea re psi - we are creating a bathroom from a redundant area and as yet nothing has been fitted. - I would like to order my bathroom taps but am unsure if a shower mixer tap will provide me with a reasonable shower over the bath. I really don't want the extra expense of an electrician having to fit a shower.
It's always been my understanding that mixer tap showers work better the higher the head height tank to shower head-

Is the water pressure okay in the rest of the house? What are your concerns about the shower towels? If you have good pressure throughout the house why are you concerned about the shower valve? Back to you, Tom
