I've been dating a christian man for 10 months. We are happy with this. We are both 50 and I've been married b-4 and he has not... but my question is, he is still in contact via phone or e-mails and physical contact with his ex girlfriend. I am a godly women and don't won't to be a jealous sounding person... but is this OK? I need a godly answer... thanks victoria:confused:

I feel that after the age of 30 all the friends and people you know you should keep in contact with... Maybe you should look at his history does he have long time friends or is she the olNY one... I think you should continue to date him - but get to know him. If he had a relationship with this woman then there are deep, strong feelings. Once you've been involved with someone, it can be hard to be just friends because of those feelings. When you have some time alone with him, ask him if he plans to stay friends with her, does she have a boyfriend, how does she feel now that he has a new friend to date. Another thing - how long ago did he break up with her? If your relationship is serious, I would tell him that the ex-girlfriend has to go. They know each other and there is too much opportunity for that. Especially if they keep in touch by phone, e-mail and in-person. He may still have feelings for her. If he is going to make a commitment to you then he has to be willing to let go of his old life. If he refuses then it's time to move on.
