Our son was released to us on probation. We would like to take him to our other home out of state. Probation gave us no instructions, restrictions or even a paper with directions on restrictions. We would like to take our son out of state to see our other son which he hasn't seen in over 3 years.

You really need to call his PO officer to find out. If he is not a minor then he will be the one that has to make the call.

And you are risking a lot by not having written instructions from the PO. Ask that they give you some written rules.

There are rules, since you do not know them, you need to talk with the PO office and find out.
