I have a Hampton bay 52" outdoor ceiling fan that I cannot get Dow. Flush mount but cover has no screws to remove it.

Look for a ring at the top, against the ceiling. Grab it with both hands and twist to the left. Should drop down and you will see the screws. The ring hides them-sounds like my fan.
