I have a zing ear 208s, that is connected to a black box, is connected by a brown, green and gray wire, what is it? It is out of a Hunter fan. The black box has gotten so hot is has burned one side. If you can help any, I would appreciate it.

The black box is the capacitor for the motor. The Zing ear is the pull chain switch to change speeds. May be able to find a cap on E bay but if the fan is older, easier and probably cheaper to replace.
