Is there a chance for a 4 week pregnant not to have the baby?
My wife is 4 weeks pregnant. We want to know if there is any chance that the baby would not develop before the 5th week and can be dismissed by her monthly period.

It is called a miscarriage if she is pregnant.

A miscarriage is always a possibility, but the doctor will monitor her closely and take that into account. She is under a doctors care I assume?

Miscarriages can happen any time during pregnancy. After the 20 week mark it's no longer called a miscarriage, it's called a stillbirth.

Worrying about a miscarriage doesn't help. Stress is not good during a pregnancy. She needs to take her prenatal vitamins, contact her doctor with any concerns, go to her regular prenatal checkups, and that's really all she can do.

Don't worry until there's a reason to worry.

    Good luck.
