I would like to know if I should be worried about possible being pregnant. We always said if it happens it happens, but we have never been able to have sex while I was ovulating that I know of. Only going off a calender. However this time we had sex and the next day I had the clear stretchy mucus discharge witch I was told was due to ovulation. Im just wanting to know dose that discharge mean my egg was released or about to be released?

Basically I'm wanting to know if the discharge is due to my egg releasing cause I know it help the sperm get to the spot it needs to go but I haven't been able to find out if it is in fact the egg Thanks a bunch

Where are you getting this information that's a result of ovulation?

The egg is microscopic in size. The only way you can possibly know for certain when it occurs for you is via keeping a Basal Temprature chart long term... or via medical tests. There are no symptoms that are obvious to the individual. The calender only works if you are in fact one of the women who's ovulation cycle happens to match up with it... many don't.

Umm OK well I was just looking around on the internet about the discharge because I was curious to see what it was. And I read multiple websites that accosted the type of cm to be ovulation cm. so that is the reason for my question. As well as you can track your cycle buy checking your cervical mucus to see what stage your in...

There is a lot of misinformation on the WEB and information that may apply in a very few cases. For the vast majority of women, the first physical sign that they may be pregnant is missing a period. Anything else is just guesswork. So basically, I would not bother with any signs until you miss a period.

You also do NOT want to be diddling around with your cervix... you are likely to introduce all sorts of nasties that can lead to a horrific infection that normally would not have survved the voyage through the vagina.

Thank you.. yeah I was basically just wandering about the discharge because I was confused reading all this information.. saying that this discharge is related to ovulation and wanted some more info on the matter

Being its at the other end of the vagina... how are you figuring out what your cervical mucus is or isn't like? And that really is a good question to ask because there have been a number of women on this site every few months doing exactly that. And that's one of the first things our resident Nurse and Moderator would say.

You can check by when you wipe witch is how I noticed..
