    What's the cause?
My last period ended April 6th, but yesterday I had light bleeding for not even an hour. I had it again today too. I took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. So what's wrong?

Could be random spotty. It happens. Have you been sex previous to these bleeding sessions? What are you using for protection?

    Hi tsullivan,

It could be due to a number of possibilities. Changes in hormone levels due to age perhaps, or it could be spotting from recent intercourse. Some women who use hormonal forms of birth control may have spotting or bleeding at various times of their cycle. Some women will experience some spotting around the time of ovulation. Those are just a few possible causes. It can happen where you just don't have an explanation and then the next month everything is back to normal.

See what happens when your next period is due. If it doesn't show after several days of when you would expect, then try a pregnancy test.

My boyfriend and I had sex two days ago and it was a more rough than what I'm use to. We always use condoms and he pulls out before finishing. I am not on any sort of birth control either

It could be from the rough sex, or just random spotting. Maybe a little more lube if he's going to be rough or maybe him not be rough at all.

Should it stop after a few days? And do I not have sex for a while?

If it doesn't stop in a couple days I would get some medical help. Maybe abstain as well until you know the cause of this or it goes away.
