    Could I be pregnant??
Hi, could any body help me?
I'm now 10 days late on my period, I'm usually quite regular on a 28 day cycle.
I'm having cramp like pains in my stomach like I'm going to come but nothing is happening, my stomach is bloated and I'm starting to have some back pain and tender breast.
My problem is that I have only slept with two people. One was in middle January and the other was middle February, this time we used protection (Sorry for too much information) I also had both my periods in January and February. I've done two pregnancy test and they have both come back negative.
Could I be imagining these symptoms of pregnancy?
Could I still be pregnant or could there be something else wrong, what should I do?
I hope some can help me

Those are symptoms more of PMS than pregnancy. And there is no TMI here, if anything it is always too little info.

What else is going on in your life? Major stresses? Have you been ill? If you got your period AFTER the last time you had sex than the possibility of you being pregnant is extremely low to no existent though there are women who have period like bleeding during their pregnancies. It is also really rare.

One thing to remember is that you will get wonky periods throughout your life, sometimes you will miss them and have no clue why. Some times they'll be late and some times REALLY light or REALLY heavy. I would wait a few days and take another HPT after easter just to rule it out.

    Good luck.

My life is pretty much normal, no stress or illness.
Could there be any other medical problems.
I've also been quite tired lately.
I'm thinking all kinds of things and no doubt worrying about nothing.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question, I really appreciate it x

Except for the missed period... none of those are pregnancy symptoms. But yes.. it is possible to test negative and still be pregnant. However at only 10 days late... you are still testing a bit too early... and early testing raises the risks of false negtives. I would try again when you are 14 days late. First thing after you wake up.. the first time you pee that morning.

No form of birth control is 100% effective... even when used correctly. Condoms alone are at best roughly 80 percent effective. THe pill quite a bit more... and using multiple forms is even more effective. However I do know two women on this site who have still gotten pregnant using 3 forms correctly at once... one of them had it happen twice.

Does it matter what time the day you do a test? Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. I'll re test on Saturday which will make it two weeks. Thanks again x

First morning urine is the accepted standard.

    Why is this?
Both tests I've done has been later in the day, I though it would all be the same.
So if I did a test on morning and it still come back negative would that be a for sures not pregnant?
A must sound really dum, I just haven't been through this I'm normal on every time I'm due give or take a day but never this long.
    Thank you xx

THis is because your urine after sleeping all night is more concentrated than it will be at any other time of the day right after you wake up... and that means the hormone that is tested for will be at higher levels... and getting results is all about being able to detect that hormone.

Consider this like making a glass of Koolaide.....in the morning you might have a glass with several tablespoons in it....but later in the day if you have a pinch you might not even be able to tell what flavor it is.
