Renting a home, ownership changed after 5 months. I have a 13 month lease but would like to move now. Can I get out of the lease. I made it with the previous owner.

You probably cannot get out of the lease early, unless the lease specifies it is non-transferrable on the part of the landlord (which is very doubtful).

Talk to the new owner, they may be willing to release you. Or they may have purchased the property knowing there there was 8 months remaining on the lease. As noted unless there was a clause in your lease prohibiting a sale, I don't see anything to get you out of the lease.
