I gave the father of my three boys custody because he made me. I have been in abusive relationship for almost 6 yrs. I signed a write paper stating that I gave him temporary custody didn't put when it would end. Well this past weekend I went to a domestic violence shelter. I work third shift so my oldest son wanted to go to his half brothers house on his dad side and the other two went with me to the shelter. I woke up to a Facebook message asking where the other kids were because he had came and got the oldest. I told him he was mad said that he would call the police on me if I didn't bring the other two too him. My question is can he keep my children from me ? Could I call them on him and make them give them back?! Help please!!

He has custody, you are the one keeping the children from him. You don't say what visitation if any, was included in the what you signed. If there was any, he has to adhere to it. If not, he can keep the children from you.

You need to go to court to have the agreement you signed vacated. And to have custody set by the court. I would strongly suggest getting an attorney. The shelter can probably help with you that.

You can have a new order through the court and best have legal advice and representation. Most abuse shelters can help with that as Scott said. Talk to them.

No, the point is you signed custody to him. He has your signature on that. Until a court or DHS vacates that document he will retain custody.
