Is there a light in the trunk that may be staying on? Also sometimes an alternator can cause a drain if it has an internal regulator and the diode is messed up.

. Check the alternator. With the engine running, the regulated battery voltage (RBV) should be 14 to 15 volts. Simply attach a multi-meter across the terminals. If the RBV is low, replace the alternator.

. Check for parasitic battery drain; e.g. presets, ECM, security system, after market stereo system, glove box and trunk lights, etc. Drain should be less than 50 ma. Be sure you turn everything off in the car.
