i had been throwing up a little blood... went to the ER... they did some tests and said they didn't see anything but some sludge in my appendix... what would cause this?

Did you think to ask them...or maybe a doctor?

That is a new one on me. Why did you not ask them what they meant seeing as they were diagnosing you ?
