We just finished a kitchen remodel and put in a new Moen Lindley faucet in Oil Rubbed Bronze. As SOON as it was hooked up I noticed a drastic reduction in my water flow. The contractor removed the screen & cleaned it all out, double checked the turn off valves to be sure they were all open and nothing changed. I'm wondering if the regulations have changed so we can't use the amount of water we want, since we can't use the lightbulbs we want either. Perhaps I've gotten too dumb to make that decision for myself, but thought I'd ask before giving up. I'm not happy at all with the reduced flow & pressure.

Yep... they all have flow restrictors... its part of the aerator usually. And yep... its part of the nanny state regualtions that gave you toilets then need flushed twice after a big dump.

The kitchen faucet I have has a button that temporarily increases the flow rate when filling up pots.

Smoothy nailed it! The aerator has a flow restrictor in it that you can p[p off. Good luck, Tom

In addition to the above advices, you may have debris stuck in the cartridge. If the aerator cleaning doesn't help, close water and remove cartridge. Clean it under running water. Reinstall.
