Long story short
I was intimate with someone before 2/17 (can not remember exact date). I deep down feel like it was 1/25.

I had a PPTest on 4/1-urine
Went to doctor 4/5 for TA US, nothing was detected. They said it was too early.

4/11 Gestational sac and yolk ID but no Fetal pole

4/24 HB 168 Identified and CRL 11.

I was given EDD of 12/8 based on what I think was LPM 3/1. My periods were so IRREGULAR!!

Can you determine conception? Most websites say 3/11-3/19 or so. This would make perfect sense.

Main question is if I were to have became Pregnant at that Januray/Feb encounter it would have made those US measurements WAY different correct? A doctor will only go with LMP if it is 7 days or so from US suggestions?

My US dates never varied much. They went from EDD of 12/7 to 12/11 but stayed fairly consistent with 12/10 which is what 11 week US predicted?

Baby was born 12/10 full term.

Why not just get a DNA test done after the childs birth then you know for a fact who the actual biological father is... otherwise all you are doing is playing a guessing game.

Its medically impossible to get it to even a single week much less what day. The best they can do is get it to a several week window.

From what you're saying...it sounds like the conception would have had to be in March. You said the baby was born in December...so March makes the most sense. But as smoothy said, if there's a question, DNA test should be done.

This alone lets you know that conception could not have occurred in January or February. So many changes occur in the early weeks of pregnancy, in a pretty precise pattern, and more would have been seen if you had been further along.

As the others have said, a DNA test will put your mind completely at ease.

What else can really be said?

Facts are facts... face them... tell both men they will be taking a DNA test and why.

Hi! I can weigh in.

There is too much variation in your periods to definitively say who the father is or when conception takes place. If you wish to know than take a DNA test. Knowing the child actual father could help him in the case of a possible genetic disorders.

The reason why we can say who is or isn't the father is because both have equal chances. It isn't a case of him finishing in you and BAM! You're pregnant. There is a lot of travelling for the sperm, ovum, and fertilized embryo to get to the implantation phase of it all. So did you release early and Man one's sperm hit the bullseye or did you release late and man two got the win? No one can say and it is especially nebulous when you have irregular periods.

What you feel and what you believe could be right or wrong, there is only one sure way.

IF you had become pregnant from the Feb. encounter, you would be closer to around 11 or 12 weeks when you had the ultrasound on April 24. The CRL measurement would have been around 50 or so... quite a substantial difference from the measurement of 11, which would put you around 7 or 8 weeks when you had the ultrasound. This lines up with what had been seen earlier on an ultrasound, and with the range given for a due date.

Early ultrasound measurements will always trump last period as far as dating a pregnancy.

If you are still concerned, get the DNA testing done as has been suggested.

Great I agree-you can not argue the medical charting. I have deep down known the facts that I did in fact get pregenant in march. It is just nice to have reassurance from others.

I will add on 4/11 my gestational sac only measured 5/gdays by US and there was no Fetal pole, no HB.

NEVER ONCE did I measure ahead of time. my due date by US ranged from 12-7 to 12-11 ALWAYS.
The doctors chose to stick with 12-8
The US tech chose to stick with 12-10 based on first CRL measurement.
I had the baby boy 12-10. Went into natural labor.

What is the range of ultrasound discrepancies?

If the reason you are concerned about conception dates is because you are unsure about who the father is, there is no way to pinpoint it. You will have to wait until after the child is born and have a DNA test done.

This is because there is a pretty consistent pattern of development that can be seen. Ultrasound late in pregnancy tends to have a greater range of discrepancies as it becomes more difficult to get accurate measurements, which is one reason why giving weight estimates of baby are just that, estimates.
