I have been on the pill for almost a year now. Last month I was given Kariva instead of Viorele (same pill just different name) I sometimes have light breakthrough bleeding but this month I started bleeding in the middle of my second week and it keeps getting heavier. I also have light cramps. I am due to take my "period" pills starting on Thursday and I have a my yearly GYNO appointment on Monday. Should I wait it out and see if it stops after I take my "period" pills and talk to my Dr on Monday or is this a cause to call my Dr now?

I would continue the course and discuss this with your gyno on Monday. During that time if you engage in intercourse than use a barrier birth control as well. Has anything weird or unusual been going on in your life in the last little bit?
