Can I ignite my gas furnace?
My ignitor and sensor is OK. Is it safe for me to light a match and light the furnace myself? It is cold.

    Hi Bsusubs

Nope, not a good idea. There are a number of safeties in place and they are there to keep you, well, SAFE...;) If your boiler/furnace will not fire off, please call in a professional to help you as it could be a problem with the chimney or something else that if you can actually manage to light the boiler/furnace or bypass a safety you could end up killing you and/or family members (not to be dramatic). Simply put, it isn't worth messing with this system if you don't know what you are doing.

At least it won't be cold much longer!!

    Good luck!
