Well almost 2 weeks ago I had sex with my boyfriend and he was late pulling out. I have had the contraception injection and on the pill for double precaution. Lately I have been having really bad mood swings, needing to pee a lot, tender and sore boobs, stomach cramps and real bad fatigue. I don't want to take a pregnancy test because the last thing I want is for it to be positive :( could anyone help me maybe these are symptoms of something else or does it sound like pregnancy?
You only had sex two weeks ago.. its impossible to know yet if you are pregnant.. and its impossible anything you feel are "symptoms" of anything BUT something else at this point.
You need to be two weeks late for a period before you would take a test. So its still too soon.
Sure its possible you are... we actually have two members here that got pregnant while using multiple forms of birth control. One more than once.
ANd for the boyfriend... he didn't show you a lot of respect... guys NEVER ejaculate without knowing its coming... if he was "late" its because he intended to be "late". I can catagorically make that a statement as fact as I am a guy.

Despite your knowledge on this (and really, you're here asking us), smoothy is correct. In MOST cases, 2 weeks would be way too early to know.
You'll have to wait it out and see what happens. This thing about not wanting to take a test because you don't want it to be positive...childish really. I mean, you do know that if you're pregnant...whether you take a test or not will not change anything....so if you're not pregnant, taking the test won't make you pregnant....
Some women THINK they know straight away... only the ones that actually turn out to be can make that claim... quite a few more might be convinced they were but turn out not to be, but those tend to be forgotten.
You bought his story look line and sinker... listen he knows its coming plenty of time to pull out... we aren't talking a split second... we are talking several seconds to as many as 10 or 20 seconds. Like I said... speaking as a guy... not a valid excuse on his part.
Ok, since you don't have a period with the birth control you are on... imagine a typical 28 day cycle starting on the date you had sex... you would have another 2 weeks before it would be time for the theoretical period to start... so you go another 2 weeks past that which would mean 4 weeks from now take a test.
The delay for that is to allow enough time to elapse that the hormone tested for would have time to rise to detectible levels if you were. Doing it any sooner might result in false negatives if in fact you are.
The odds are against it that you are... but its not impossible to happen either.
Maybe a third method of birth control is needed, a condom. Not every guy has full control in the heat of intense passion. Depending on timely withdrawal is a fools birth control method.
No woman can 100% know. They can think it but they can't know. It takes a while for the fetus to develop enough to cause the woman's body to detect it.Quote:

That's pretty ridiculous. If you are pregnant you need to know as soon as possible to ensure the health of the fetus. Delaying finding out is irresponsible and could have serious impact on the fetus. Since you have not be getting your periods, you have no frame of reference to start testing. So I would begin testing now, taking a test every 3-4 days for at least a month. After a month if its still showing negative, you can probably relax.Quote:

How often do you have sex with your boyfriend? Was that the first time? If not, then you could be pregnant and farther along than two weeks.
Your symptoms also match premenstrual syndrome not to mention several other possibilities. It may be that you are stressing yourself out and noticing every little thing that seems like it might be a pregnancy symptom.
Read up on the directions and side-effects for your contraceptives. Pay attention to what they say to do if you think you are pregnant.
No woman could possibly know they are pregnant within a week of having unprotected sex. For sure ! It doesn't matter how fast he pulled out; pregnancies can happen with pre-ejaculate as well !

If you haven't missed any pills, and haven't been late in receiving your injection, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. However, as was said, no form of birth control is 100% effective, even when using two, so try a pregnancy test. Some women will experience some possible symptoms within a couple of weeks after ovulation, most often due to a continued elevated level of progesterone, but what you have been feeling can also be attributed to other causes.
If you test, and it is negative... wait another week or so and try again. You can certainly see your doctor for a test there. Again, while possible, it would be unlikely for you to be pregnant if both forms of birth control have been used consistently.
As a side note.....does your doctor know that you are using both the depo injection and birth control pills? When did you start both?
