When I was a child in the mid 90s', I walked into a Movie Gallery video rental store and saw an 80's VHS cover with a furry alien dressed in a silver space suit pointing at the viewer like Uncle Sam with text underneath it that read something like "I want YOU in the Galactic Space Patrol!" Before anyone suggests it, no I don't think it was The Last Starfighter, I haven't found any material from that that resembles this.
