If I use my 50 kw 150 amp three phase generator as a single phase generator will stll get 150 amps ?
The textbook answer is yes, each phase delivers 150 amps. However, to accomplish this you would have to cripple quite a bit of the equipment which would certainly violate all matter of design criteria.
Why don't you modify the connecting cable to only use one phase of the output instead of the three phase?
Personally before I would go through that level of butchering I would just get a single phase generator.
I'm curious, why do you want to convert a 3 phase to a single phase?
