I am 19 and a military spouse and me and my husband have been married for 1 year and 2 months we live in Clarksville Tennessee and I want to know what kind of benefits do I get because he doesn't tell me much I haven't gotten any money from him the most he has ever given me was 200 dollars and that was one time. I'd like to know if I am acquired to his money just as much as he is or what should I do? I've tried talking to his sgts but their not very helpful and I have nothing else to try...

You would most likely have to write to his commanding officer to get action but you have to consider the ramifications of doing that. It could affect his standing and possibly his career depending on what his plans are. The Sgt. is probably reluctant to get involved because he doesn't know both sides of the story, and may not be authorized to get further involved. Does he handle all the financial matters for both of you? You are en titled to medical coverage, commissary privileges etc. What does your husband say about your issue? Try to settle it at home before going through the formal channels, even if some counseling is necessary for both of you. The military's intention is that he provide for his family, but salary is low and he may be struggling to meet the expenses needed to provide housing , food, transportation etc. Thanks to both of you for supporting your country. Are you living together, or is he gone somewhere in the military?

Sounds more like a divorce attoreny is needed, not anything else.

You do not get any money, he is the worker and gets paid, he does make extra money because he is married. But it is his money, not yours.

This is no different than any husband and wife, he is not required to give you any money, He should be helping with your bills, as a moral duty, but legally, no.

He should have added you to health insurance and you should have a military dependent ID card that allows you base rights.

I agree- they are married- it is their money.

That being said, do you have any idea why he is not forthcoming with the household finances?

While you have only been married a short while, the balance in your marriage is way off. Not even honest communication and questions are being answered. This is not a good way to start.

Anything you say outside of the marriage, to his supervisors, etc. only involves them in a domestic situation that they can do nothing about. They cannot order your husband to support you- only the divorce court can do that.

Sit him down, and talk to him. Present him with your concerns, and ask him what the problem is as he sees it, and why things are the way they are. If he is unwilling, or unable (for some reason) not to disclose the basics of what you need to know, it might be time to seek legal help.
