The first issue is whether you have medical expenses significant enough to deduct - you may deduct only the amount of medical expenses that exceeds 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. However, the only travel expenses that are deductible as a medical expenses are those "paid for transportation primarily for, and essential to, medical care." Ref: Publication 502 (2013), Medical and Dental Expenses Travel to accompany a child to a hospital would qualify, but I don't believe your regular back-and-forth trips do.
