My boyfriend bought me a car for a graduation gift and now he want to take it back because he stated that he don't want to be with me anymore. Can he legally take it?

Whose name is the car in and who makes the payments?

As J_9 said... the person who's name is on the title... is who legally owns it. Whos name is on the plates (registration) doesn't matter...but who is on the title does.

He bought the car and now he wants to break up....why should she have to lose it if it turns out to be in her name? I might say she was a gold digger if he bought it then she wanted to break up but that's not what happened.

So I am curious about an answer as to who is on the title to this car....That is the owner.
