My offset patio umbrella top is old and faded and torn in places. Can I use the cover part of a patio umbrella to replace it? So much cheaper than buying a new one.

If the sizes are compatible and you are willing to do the work adapting/fitting the cover then I see no reason that you cannot do what you propose...;)

Yes, why not? In fact, it's anice idea! Protection from the suns rays is important to keeping you and your friends and family healthy by providing shade for those hot summer days with a patio umbrella. Use your old one if it can fit properly.
